A Pleasant Reunion

Hello again!

The end of July took us to Amy's hometown of Traverse City. It's sort of interesting how not only did her family begin in this great city, but so did mine. We went up this time for the Harvey Reunion.

Just so you know that's Amy's Mom's family. We got up there just in time for lunch. We had the pleasure of eating great food and Alex had the ultimate excitement of meeting his cousins for the first time! (That he can remember at least).

As you can see the boy got along very well. Let me see if I can remember them all. There's (counter clock-wise starting at the bottom) Spencer, Tyler, Preston, *ugh, I can't remember*, and of course Alexander.

There was also time for Polish horseshoes and catch with the baseball.

But the reunion time, although lots of fun, wasn't all that we did. Alex also had fun in the water with his Uncle Matt and Uncle Shawn (actually cousin), but he loved it and even had a chance to ride a jetski with Momma and fish with Papa!
Yes, that's me with the strange shirt and hat! Ugh! Don't say it! I know what you will say. I look like my Dad. If you haven't met him, you will get to seem him soon enough on this website. Just keep checking back. Now, where is that picture of Alex on the jetski. Ahh! There it is.

It was really neat to see Amy's bestfriend, Amy and her husband Dennis. We both got to see for the first time their little miracle baby, Branden. God is so awesome when it comes to showing us His Love through children. He shows us that all the time. While we were in T.C. he showed us a couple more. One with our friends the Choikes' and another with a Grandma and her precious boy.

Beginning Ramblings!

Let me be the first to welcome you to our family blog. Yeah, I know it says that it's my blog, but it will be a family effort.

We moved to Black River Falls, Wisconsin on Memorial Day weekend 2006. It ended up being a long weekend, but we made it and within just a few hours we had most of our home "setup".

Perhaps you would like to see our home. Take a look then.

It was pretty tough moving from a 1344 sq. ft. home in Marion, Indiana to an 1100 sq. ft. apartment here in BRF (seriously, this is what everyone in the county call it!).

Oh, wait a minute! Alex wants to say something:

I like living in Wisconsin, but I miss my friends and my house in Marion. I miss Laura and Andrea and Marissa...tell me Mommy, who else? Oh yeah, Ben and Isaiah! And Savannah! I ask Mom and Dad all the time if we can go home and see them. But, I have made some new friends here. Just take a look at my website...umm...Mommy what is it? Tell me!

I, the Dad, have taken back the keyboard. Doesn't our little three and a half year old type well? By the way, if you are interested there is a link to Alex's website on the bottom right hand side of this site. Feel free to take a look.

Well, I should finish this for now. There will be more to come. More thoughts from me about my job. Amy's thoughts about experiencing the new place. There will also be more pictures. Let us know what you think of our site.

We love you all. We miss so many people who are so far away. We want to thank you for your prayers.

Bye,
Chris, Amy and Alex
