3 months old

I finally got some great pics of Colin's smiles! He is such an expressive little guy. When he gets excited, his whole body shows it. Hard to believe 3 months ago today I was wondering if he was ever going to come. Now we can't imagine life without him.

Got to love those little baby toes!
This was taken just a few days after he was born. Although his face hasn't changed a whole lot, the rest of him has definitely filled out.

New Bunk Beds

Thanks Grama and Papa Wilcox for Alex's new bunk bed! As I mentioned in a previous post, Alex had outgrown his toddler bed so I've been praying that we'd find a bigger bed for him soon. Last week we ran into some friends of ours and I just happened to mention that we were looking for a new bed and she just happened to have one she was going to sell at her garage sale this upcoming weekend. It was a wonderful answer to prayer!

Alex has dubbed the top bunk his "living room"! The bed only came with one mattress and it wouldn't have left enough rail room for me to feel comfortable letting Alex sleep on top, so we got some heavy duty double walled cardboard and covered it with a sheet to create a floor, added the couch, light and Mickey and created a cool little place for Alex to hang out and read or play.

Colin pics

It's so hard to believe our little man will be 3 months old on Monday. I've really enjoyed being able to be home with him so much. I wish it was under different circumstances, but I'm enjoying it just the same.

Colin loves to chew on his fists. He hasn't found his thumb yet, so most of the time he just gags himself with his fingers. He also spends a lot of time staring at his fist as he holds his left arm straight out with his thumb tucked between his fingers (like the sign language "t").

This is what you get when you ask Daddy to feed the baby while you finish making dinner. I wonder if we could patent this idea?
